Text issues – no spaces after commas?

Hi!

I just upgraded my wordpress site to 3.1.2 as well as upgraded my theme (Atahualpa) and after that, the text in my posts, sidebars etc started acting up. It’s no biggie but suddenly there’s no spaces after for example commas, so something that should look like this: “Hi, my name is” looks like this: “Hi,my name is”. Where it’s supposed to say { Livet } (in the pages menu on the top) it now says {Livet }. See the difference?

I’ve tried to reinstall both wordpress and the theme but nothing works. I have absolutely no idea what went wrong and why it looks like that. Ideas or help anyone?
