Hi, I added a new theme and the text was too small for my poor eyesight. I decided to use larger text by using Header 3 for all the text on my posts. It looks good, but is it acceptable to do this and also will it slow down the opening of my pages. Hope you can advise Alistair Please take a look www,aberdeengardening.co.uk

  • It shouldn’t slow things down, but, no, that is not the way to do it. ‘h’ tags should be headings. You try to create a kind of grade-school document outline with them. Making everything an ‘h’ tag is wrong. You need to edit your theme’s style sheet. One solution is to find the .entry definition in your theme’s style.css and add something like font-size:18px; between the opening and closing brackets.

Your edits will be overwritten when you update the theme so consider making a child theme.

Thanks,I found where to edit my theme style css. Struggling to find the entry definition. Afraid to tamper with it. I can see future problems although using Header 3 with my current theme looks amazing if I change the theme at a later date it will probably be terrible.
