I am trying to word this so it makes sense. My WordPress site; profoundrevelations.com was automatically updated to WordPress Ver. 4.6.1

Everything seems to be working well except for when I copy a block of text from Microsoft word or if I create a block of text inside WordPress, such as “create a new post”. If I decide a paragraph is too long and I try to break it up by hitting the enter key within the original paragraph to create a new paragraph, it doe’s move down the text and creates the space between the paragraphs.
However, now it not only moves the text down but a second later it will duplicate the text I just moved. One in its original location, and one in the new location.

Thus creating a duplicate paragraph or sentence.

This only started happening when my WordPress site was updated to Ver. 4.6.1

    Any thoughts?

This may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and use one of the default (Twenty*) themes. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of your troubles.

    Hi Steve,

Thanks for getting back to me. I am not using one of the default themes. I never had this issue before. I can try disabling the plugins, and see what happens.

However, I never had this issue before the update to 4.6.1. I am not sure how any of the plug ins could cause this type of issue though?

I am having this issue as well.

Me too. This started some time ago, but it’s caused some very embarrassing mistakes as lines/paragraphs are duplicated.

Has there been any solution to this?

If you have the browser plugin Grammarly, try disabling it. I had this exact problem and disabling Grammarly fixed it.

@smartcaveman I do. It’s really handy, and I’d hate to disable it, but it sounds like it could be the culprit.

I recently installed Grammarly extension for Chrome then started noticing the same issue! I think you are correct @smartcaveman ! Thanks

I had the exact same issue here. Disabled the Grammarly extension to resolve it. Such as shame as it was really helpful in editing contributor posts. Hopefully, the two will play nice with each other again soon.
