• Most of the time I add images at the start of a new paragraph. This may be at the start of the post or further on.
I wanted to combine text-indent + first-letter to the paragraph tag. This works OK, but NOT when I put a floating image in that paragraph. I think that image is considered to be the first-letter.
Is there a simple solution for this? I don’t want to go and add all code manually Just in case I want to change things in the future I want to keep the structure as simple as possible.
You can look at the posts on my site to see what I mean:

  • Thanks Chiensavant, I forgot about those plugins :).
Changing over 300 posts? No, I don’t think so. But I tried to put in an?3ther inside the automatically inserted p-tag, right after the image. This results in the image sticking out a bit at the top, but I can correct that with a bigger margin-top for the image.
But the best solution would be that CSS can ‘see’ the difference between a letter and a tag. So that first-letter would indeed only refer to the actual first letter, and not just anything that comes right after the .
I searched through https://www.w3c.org but couldn’t find anything that looks like a solution for this ??
