• Hi

On my frontpage, I can see, that I have a lot of code in the top before the text begins (line 295). Can someone guide me how to get the text in top (but I would like to keep the design like it is). I guess that will be positive for search engines.

    Thanks a lot,
    Marlene

  • What theme are you using? Where did you download it from?

    Hi Esmi,

it is Twenty Fourteen – Its a free theme I got from WordPress

The Twenty Fourteen theme isn’t too bad “as is” in terms of SEO. If you really ant to start changing things up, then you’ll need to start looking at theme development and creating a child theme for your changes.

I have a child thema already, but if it wont help the SEO anyway, I guess I better not change anything – or what do you think?

Do you know a theme that is better in terms of SEO and responsive?

The SEO impact of a theme is pretty small compared to ensuring that your content is well crafted. Have a look at some SEO articles such as https://yoast.com/wordpress-seo/
