• Our site htmediacenter.org has been working fine for many months, with posts being added regularly for videos, audios, quotes and articles. We are intermittently seeing the Text (HTML code) content of the post disappear completely when we save as draft and even publish or update. When this happens, it does not seem to matter whether the content was code, as in an iframed YouTube video, or just plain text. I would be interested to know if anyone else has seen this behavior, and if so, how you fixed the problem.

  • Try:
-Reverting to a default WordPress theme with all plugins turned off and then checking if your text/html posts are saved
-If the above step does not help, update WordPress and try again. Similarly, make sure that you run the updated versions of plugins, themes, etc (including the inactive ones)

You really need to update WordPress to the latest version as the very old version that you currently run is a big security issue and can leave your site open to easy access by hackers.

Thanks, Krishna! After I posted this, I tried another test post, and everything worked. As I said, this has been an intermittent problem. We have been trying to get to the upgrades for a while (we are all part-time volunteers), so we will work on that and see if the issues reappears after the upgrades.

If it is an intermittent problem, most probably it is caused by your hosting server. Please contact your host for solving the issue.
