    Hi,

    I am really enjoying this widget and its ease of use. I added the folowing CSS to add some padding between the text and the side of the widget. Looks great except in Safari the text is flowing off the right side.

    Here is the CSS I added:

    .testimonialswidget_testimonials .testimonialswidget_active {
    /* active testimonials */
    display: block;
    padding-top: 5px;
    padding-right: 10px;
    padding-left: 10px;
    }

    Here is the URL to the site – https://www.jscottthompson.com

    Any suggestions for how to fix this in Safari would be greatly appreciated!

    Dana ??

    Dana, thank you for the compliment.

    The page is looking fine on OS 10.8 Safari for me. Are you positive you’ve cleared the browser cache? You might try loading the CSS file directly and then loading the URL again.

    Hi Michael,

    Thank you for the quick reply! I have checked the site on my husband’s Mac, my bosses Mac at work and on my PC (all in Safari) and the text is still running off the side off the right side. I think the first testimonial looks ok, but if you wait for it to rotate to the next couple of ones you will see where it runs off. I’d love to get this fixed if possible.

    Thanks again for your time and a great plugin! Dana

    Dana, ah, now I see it too. Thank you.

    I think it’s a theme styling conflict. However, my normal way of debugging the conflict isn’t working because every time I click on a visually bad element in Safari via Inspect Element, the property starts displaying correctly.

    Even if I line move in the source via arrows, the display go from wide to fine once on that part. Given this kind of information, you might have a CSS active, focus, or hover pseudo class that could be causing the trouble on the q or cite tags.

    I’ve looked through the theme’s style.css file and I don’t see something that says hey I’m goofy. Even worse, I can click on any element on the page via source review and the widget goes to displaying fine.

    Can you clone the site and see what happens with a different theme?

    Wow! That interesting! And weird…in a bad way. LOL! I’m kind of new to WordPress. How do you clone a site? I have Dreamweaver and knowledge of FTP if that helps.

    Thanks! I’ll give it a try. But I’m so swamped right now I’ll probably just replace it with an animated .gif file. And I’m not sure how cloning the site and seeing what happens with a different theme will help me. If you can’t figure out why it’s not working, then I’m definitely not going to be able to to since my knowledge of code is WAY less than yours! LOL!

    Hi Michael!

    Thanks for checking in on me! I’m still swamped and haven’t had a chance to look at it. Unfortunately, my husband’s site gets pushed to the bottom of the to do list when I’m busy with client sites! LOL!

    Dana, had time yet to check into it?

    Hey Michael!

    Wow! Thanks for checking on me! Sadly, no, haven’t even thought about it. Next week I’m meeting with a tutor to go over migrating sites, so I may give it a shot after that. Right now I have bigger fish to fry. Do you want me to go ahead and mark this as resolved for you? I can always reopen a new post if I need to at a later date. Dana ??

    If you can mark it resolved, great. Be sure to drop me a line later if you have further trouble.

    I’ve still not seen a similar case like yours.

    Ok, will do! Thanks! Dana ??
