Text/font not showing up

Hi. we are using the Quantum Themes/ Vice Theme which has a black background as default. When I add the front end publishing, everything works but the text boxes/font default to white, the same color as the boxes, so the text that you type cannot be seen. It’s there, if you highlight over the text, you can see it, but that isn’t helpful for users submitting content. Please advise..?
