• Hi,

I recently installed a theme. The text editor isn’t working. Even in the page editing mode. Visual composer is installed for the theme.

When i create a page, it shows visual composer options or editing the page/post works. But once created, published, when i come again to edit it, the text editor doesn’t work. even the text is there and i can highlight and delete it and can write it but its all white and it gets visible when highlighted.

deactivating the plugins didn’t helped. Changing theme gets things to normal.

    Thanks

  • What you’ve done points to wards your theme being the cuase of the problem.

As you’re using a commercial theme you should go back to the author/vendor that you got the theme from for support. Forum volunteers don’t have access to commercial products, so we can’t see what’s going on internally there. Also, part of what you’ve paid for with the theme is support for it, so it’s best to use that, and that way any problems can be fixed by the author and merged into new releases to help everyone else that’s using that theme.

    Hello

I have faced similar issues many times. It’s because older version of visual composer is not compatible with latest wordpress installation. Please try latest version of visual composer with latest version of theme and WordPress.

    It will definitely work.

    Thank you

I am getting really fed up as this problem is getting serious. After searching and trying for hours still no solution.

Did you ask the themes vendor for assistance?

As I said, you’ve already found out that it’s the theme that’s causing it, so that is really the only place that you can go to have someone be able to give you any reliable help with this. I know that sounds a bit harsh, but it’s not meant to. Unfortunately we just don’t know anything about the theme you’re using or how it works, and the people that do are the ones that you purchased it from so they are the ones that will be able to offer assistance.

The only other option is to use one of the free themes from this site as they are able to be supported here because everyone has full access to the code that they use.
