Text editor behaving badly, no Visual editor

  • The TEXT editor is coming up in a reduced box in the editor window and the Visual Editor button doesn’t work.

    Details:
    WP 4.5.3
    ZeroGravity Theme
    Chrome 51.0.2704.84 m on Windows10
    (Same issue on Safari with Apple)

    Having read various threads, I have tried:
    Reinstalled WP twice; turned visual off/saved/on in User; deactivated all plugins; switched to standard theme; installed Wordfence; tried adding code to config.php

    None of it made any difference.

    Please look at my screenshot on the link above and if you can tell me how to solve it, I would be most grateful.
