    Hello,

The boxes resize according to text length. How do I make it so that the text box remain the same size and position for each slide?

    Thank you.

    Hi @knluu

You probably don’t want to do that, since if the area of the layer doesn’t adapt to the text length, then your text might end up overflowing the slide or its container, which could make your content cropped. As normally the height of your layer defines the height of your slide and the slider.

Anyways if you really want to do that, then you can set a “Max width” and a fix “Height” on the style tab of your layer:

but I don’t recommend setting a fix height for your texts, unless you set the “Crop” to “Scroll”:

If you meant something else, then please describe what you are trying to do exactly.

    Best regards,
    Laszlo.

Thank you for the prompt reply.

I think if I can get the text box (see https://smartslider3.com/full-width-post-slider/: text layers + button layer) to be positioned at the same height (not necessarily the dimensions of the box) in both desktop and mobile version, it should work well for me. How would I accomplish this? Currently, if the text content is different (one box contains longer title and longer text than the other box), the positions of the boxes would be different.

    Hi @knluu

If you mean the white box in the “Full Width Post Slider” slider template:

then the reason that appears in different vertical positions is because the the Vertical Align on the Content Layer is set to Center:

If you want the top of all white boxes to start at the same position, then you should set it to rather Top or Bottom, depending on where you want it to appear.
Or as an alternative solution, you could enable the “Stretch” option on the Row:

and that way the Row ( the white container ) would fill the available vertical space in the slider. By repeating this on all slides, you could make all white boxes to have the same height.
Note: as I mentioned above this will make the Row fill all the available vertical space in the slide. So if you want to create some distance from the top and bottom of the slide, you probably want to apply some top and bottom paddings on the Slide ( to make it look consistent, you should use the same padding on all slides of the slider ).

    Thank you! That worked!

I had to duplicate one of the slides and then make the text edits.

Thanks again and wishing you a great day.
