text box & call to action button

  • I picked the “Virtue” theme…and it seems to be somewhat flexible…but I’m not smart enough to get a text box in there. Much less a “call to action” button.

    I cannot figure out how to add text to the top of the homepage. Like directly below the menu bar…I’d like to be able to put the sale date, time, and a button to eventually link to photos or the online catalog.

    Hey,
    You can do this by creating a static homepage. Create a page and call it “home” (or whatever you like) and add your text into the page. Then navigate to Settings > Reading, set your front page as a static page and select the page you created. Then from Theme Options > Home Layout enable Page Content at the top of your homepage layout manager.
