text block editor is bank and no editing options

  • I’m running the theme “The7.2.ver.2.1.6” in wordpress. In the visual composer mode, when I add the “text block” element, under “text block settings”, general—>text box is blank, there is no options for me to add media, bold, change color, insert URL, underline, change font. In other words, I don’t see the editor options that we usually see in microsoft word document. I’ve tried to disable the Visual Composer plugin or switch to other themes, but it didn’t work. How could I fix this?

    I purchased it from themeforest.com and they set it up for me.

    To rule out theme/plugin-specific issue, try:
    – deactivating ALL (yes all) plugins temporarily to see if this resolves the problem (plugin functions can interfere). If this works, re-activate them individually (one-by-one) to find the problematic plugin(s).
    – try switching to the unedited default Twenty Fifteen theme for a moment using the WP dashboard to rule out any theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

    Hi Tara, I tried both of them, now I see “B, i, link, b-quote, code, ins, img, ul, ol, li, more, close tag”, that’s all I see. Still not showing me the “non-tech” editing options which we see in word documents (color, bold, underline, center, left aligned, right aligned, etc. )

    I’m having similar problems when editing a post. No ‘visual’ component available and it’s very difficult to format in the text editor.

    I installed a Wishlist plugin 2 days ago – could this be causing an issue. I’m running U-Design Themeforest.
