At the top of every page of the website the text “The service is currently unavailable” appears. It only shows on this site; none of my other sites show it and they are all on the same server. This happened with one of the previous automatic updates (as far as I recall) and I’d like very much to get it to go away. Got any ideas? The site works fine, but that text still appears.
    Thanks

  • My guess is that it’s plugin related. Try deactivating all of your plugins, and see if that resolves the problem.

If it does, reactivate your plugins one-by-one and try adding links as you go. That should narrow down where the problem is.

If deactivating the plugins doesn’t resolve the problem, it’s likely either the theme your using, or a conflict between the theme and one of your plugins. Try switching to a default theme, and see if that resolves the issue.

If none of the above works, post the name of the theme you’re using, and a list of the plugins you’re using.

You nailed it! Yay!! Thanks so much Matt. It was, indeed, a plugin … an old form builder that I wasn’t even using. Now it’s gone and so is the text. Thanks again!
