Text and title reappear after deleting

  • I remove the title from my Home page and some text in the main window, then Update.

    After Update, the title and the text reappear. Why? And more important, how can I get rid of the words I don’t want permanently?

    If you go there, you’ll see the words ‘Home’ and some sample text ‘This is the new Home’ – those are the words that won’t go away.

    I don’t need the title showing on the Home page!

    To hide the title, try adding:

    #homepage #content-main h1 {text-indent:-9999px;}

    Sorry – add it to the bottom of your theme’s stylesheet.

    Is this a static front page? If so, is it using a custom template?

    I succeeded! It seems to depend on having a header level assigned in the text area.

    Once I assigned Heading Two to the words Properties for Sale, the title could be removed and it remained that way.

    All is well. Take a look.
