Testmail works, ContactForm cannot send mails, because It is marked as spam

The good news is that if your test emails are working, then your WP Mail SMTP are all set.

The best next step from there is to make sure that your From Email settings in your form(s) match what you’ve set up within WP Mail SMTP.

I’m not sure which mailer you’re using, but I’ll use the “Other SMTP” mailer as an example. With this mailer, you’d need to make sure that the email used to set up SMTP matches the From Email set up in WP Mail SMTP, and also the From Email used in your forms.

The easiest approach to making your form From Emails match is to check the “Force From Emails” box in your WP Mail SMTP settings (but you can adjust these manually in your forms if you prefer).

Last, if you’ve done all of this and your emails still go to spam:

In this case, the issue might just be trust. It’s possible that the recipient email provider just needs some time to re-establish trust with your site. In some cases this can be resolved more quickly by switching to a different mailer with extra levels of authentication (like Mailgun, for example).
