In order to test new plugins, I made a copy of my WP install, copied the DB over with

    rsync -a –delete

gave it a new domain, updated paths in the db using

interconnect/it SAFE SEARCH AND REPLACE ON DATABASE WITH SERIALIZED DATA V3.1.0

Each time I just rsync the folders, copy the db over, and test.

In theory the 2 sites would be identical? It had worked so far, but recently I had an unexplained error in WP gutenberg. Synced the test site, but the error can’t be repeated there.

    What could be wrong?

  • What kind of error is it that is displayed in the Gutenberg Editor?

some of the UI is mangled, maybe some css error I’m not so knowledgeable to say exactly

On site 1, the UI error happens, when I enable a plugin. It’s the plugins fault.

On the cloned site, the UI error do not happen

Make it hard to test .
