Trying to set up three different sites to link to Central today and all of them stick at Testing that Wordfence Central is able to communicate with this site.

First it looked like a timeout but on increasing the max execution time – it still did not work – just spinning circles.

  • Hey @stevenew2019,

Are these sites on the same server?

Can you click the “Show” link under “Details” and share any additional information?

Try removing the sites from Wordfence Central, then try re-adding them. But first make sure you’re running the latest Wordfence version 7.2.4. You might also disable all other plugins before re-adding them to rule out a conflict.

Here’s some documentation that may help.

    Thanks,

    Gerald

    Hi Gerald,

    Under show

    Is all that is there.
I have removed and started again at least 5 times now.

The latest version is installed in all cases.

One site I simply set up just to try this out again, nothing there at all in terms of plugins and a fresh wordfence install, exactly the same.

I have been through the troubleshooting section on the link you posted.

Yes, all of the sites are on the same server.

    Thanks

    Steve

    Hi again,

There’s been some updates to Wordfence central regarding adding sites to the control panel.

Can you try adding the site again to see if it works properly?

    Dave
