Wow, just downloaded Jetpack. Removed so many other plugins as a result of using this.

I’ve been playing around trying to use Facebook Comments by Alex Moss and to also have the Jetpack Comments working too. I’ve decided to scrap FB comments as it was too hard to setup and gave me heaps of problems. Before both of these comment systems, I’ve been using ‘Social’ the plugin connected with Mailchimp. Basically I decided to get rid of that too as No one was ever using the Facebook and twitter options much to my surprise.

    My issues:
1/ I can’t successfully delete ‘Social’ without the site going haywire. See here what replace the comments area: https://i.imgur.com/Jgsyr0q.png
Somehow though, it now doesn’t show now at the bottom of the screen now. Only the Jetpack comments.

2/ When I test jetpack comments, I get a screen popping up that is similar to the way comments on social appear. Or am I wrong? Does JP Comments support FB and Twitter etc? See here: https://i.imgur.com/gXle4YN.png

If you want to see the code visit the bottom of this page: https://bit.ly/1qgFrdu

Hope you can make sense of this all!

    Thanks in advance

    Brad

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

The error pointed to your theme, but looking at your site right now, I see that you’ve solved the problem, the error has disappeared now. Have you managed to solve the problem by yourself?

I’m not familiar with how that social plugin works, but I’ve heard good things about this one, if you’re willing to bring Twitter and Facebook Comments back one day:

Yes I employed a coder to help. Wasn’t sure you’d reply. I’m happy with jetpack. Wasn’t aware that you could choose WordPress or Facebook as the response method until I sent my first test message. So all is good now. Thanks.
