    Hello.

I’ve noticed a problem with testimonial widget. Navigation is not accessible for keyboard users, see the following screenshot:

Basically, the bottom div gets the focus but doesn’t do anything, while navigation arrows don’t get the focus because tabindex is set to -1.

    Hello @bugnumber9,

We’re sorry for the delayed reply.

Thanks for your information but unfortunately, at the moment we don’t have this kind of feature. For now, users need to click the nav arrow to move the slider item.

We will consider adding a keyboard navigation feature but we can’t promise it because we need to do further checking for this request.

Let me know if you have further quesitons.

    Thank you

    Hi @herryjegstudio

I think you misunderstood me. It’s not about adding a new feature, it’s about making the existing feature accessible. Please check https://www.w3.org/WAI/WCAG21/Understanding/keyboard-accessible.html

You can also check the native testimonials carousel widget by Elementor, it is accessible from a keyboard.

    Hi @bugnumber9,

You can use the keyboard to move the slider, but the focus state goes to the arrow wrapper, instead of the arrow button.

We use Tiny Slider on the JKit Testimonial element and to change the tabindex value of the arrow button will need to update the script file. For now, we can’t use the hook to override the script code.

So you can try to update this file /jeg-element-kit/jeg-elementor-kit/assets/js/elements/testimonials.js with this file below but don’t forget to make backup first :

    Hi @herryjegstudio

Thanks, I’ll give it a try. Consider switching to https://github.com/Splidejs/splide it’s built with accessibility in mind.
