• If you’re viewing this thread, it’s probably because your Easy Testimonials Cycle Widget is no longer working, and you’ve been unable to get in touch with the developers. I was having the same problem. Here’s the solution.

    1. In your WordPress dashboard sidebar, select Easy Testimonials > Shortcode Generator
    2. Select Testimonials > Testimonial Cycle
    3. Choose your options then select [Insert Now]
    4. Copy the shortcode that’s generated
    5. Go to Appearance > Widgets
    6. Drag a Custom HTML widget to where ever you currently have the Cycle Widget.
    7. Insert the shortcode you copied into the HTML Widget and hit Save
    8. Delete the old Cycle Widget

That’s it! You should be good to go—at least for now. This is only a temporary fix that could break the next time there’s a WordPress update, so I would suggest that you start looking for another testimonial plugin ASAP. Good luck!

In addition to the above steps, you also need to modify line 1455 of easy-testimonials.php to this:

    <div class="cycle-slideshow" <?php echo $data_cycle; ?>>

I just discovered that the Easy Testimonials is not recognizing some of the shortcodes, such as “auto-height.” I’m not sure why that is. Someone who is better versed in PHP may want to investigate this further.

    Thanks for the fix!

    Thanks for the fix.

This other fix should also apply:

I was also having this issue and updating line 1445 of easy-testimonials.php cleared it up. I was unable to use the first method, as the shortcode generator screen was not working for me, either. Thank you!

I’m having the same issue but I’m using the shortcode generator in a page, not a widget. The generator still works but it’s ignoring the code! It’s just stopped working. Any ideas greatly received.

I am looking for another testimonial plugin. I can’t seem to find one that has category filters AND allows you to import testimonials. I can find one or the other.

Any luck finding a plugin that will allow you to import your testimonials from Easy Testimonials so I don’t have to manually recreate them one by one?

@dsrt16 If you were well versed in MYSQL or whatever database your website is running you may be able to automate the process, but most people will have to recreate them. The best alternative that I’ve been able to find is Strong Testimonials. This plugin seems to mimic a lot of what Easy Testimonials offered and at a much better price. https://strongtestimonials.com/
