“Test the media connection” doesn’t show anything

I can’t migrate my Joomla 3 website to WordPress with this plugin. I get no feedback whatsoever in the “Joomla web site parameters” section. I can enter an invalid URL and there is no feedback. Same with the “Joomla database parameters”. I click the Test button, absolutely NOTHING appears. There is no green text under the button. There is one error in the log:

There has been a critical error on this website.

For the WordPress site I use PHP 8.2. For the Joomla site I use PHP 7.3, it breaks in newer versions. I’m using cPanel.
