• I have set up Postman SMTP and tested the connection and sent a test e-mail. Everyhting works as intended. However, when I try to submit a message on a CF7 form with the very same e-mail adress in ‘From’ in Mail settings, I got an error. Mail is not sending.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Same issue here. Test emails, and emails generated from Woocommerce all work correctly. But Contact Form 7, WPForms, and the contact forms that are part of JetPack all won’t send.

To the original post author…I found the solution in the ‘Read this before posting’ thread of this discussion board.

If you go to the settings and check the boxes to prevent other plugins from hijacking the ‘from’ and ‘name’ email fields it should fix it. It did for me.

    Instructions found here:
    https://postmansmtp.com/invalid-to-or-reply-to-e-mail-address/

Thank eastbank. I checked the boxes you mentioned but I still get errors on sending messages through CF7. My console gives a js error: ‘Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘hasAttribute’ of null’.

    Who can help me?

    @stino00

This is a JS error, why do you think it’s come from Post SMTP?

    (@stino00)

@yehudah This is the only error I can see when I look in my console.

Fact is that I cannot send any message with CF7 but test messages with Post SMTP are successful? What else can I do?

Try to disable other plugins until the error disappears.

Apparently it was Jetpack. But after deactivating Jetpack I tried to send a new message through CF7 but still does not work.

Post SMTP has an email log, what is the error?

    Thread Starter stino00

    (@stino00)

My attempts through CF7 are not logged in the e-mail log, apparently it does not reach the Post SMPT plugin.

The success messages from the test messages are logged in the log.

What is the link to the form?

The contact form is at the bottom

    Can’t see it…blocked.

Sorry my fault. You can access the page bnow.

Works, I think the error exists because you blocked your site for logged in users, and contact form 7 needs the REST API.

I see. I now tested it with different e-mail addresses, but it looks like Gmail is the problem. It won’t send to gmail domains, but it does to other domains.
