    Hi,

    Test orders completed on staging copy are received as if they were real (with an invoice number etc.)

    I always check the box “Enable test mode” with a fake card number to use for test orders that is provided on stripe website

    How to fix it?

    Would you mind sharing more details about this? — Do you refer that emails are being sent when the payment is done using the test mode?

    1. We enable test mode for this plugin
    2. Then we place orders to test that everything works out with fake cards as the ones suggested by Stripe itself https://stripe.com/docs/testing
    3. Then the invoices are issued and sent to our business email as if they were real orders

    Is there a way to stop the issuing of invoices for fake orders made during testing mode?

    It seems a third-party plugin might be generating the invoice, possibly the PDF Invoices & Packing Slips for WooCommerce by WP Overnight plugin. This is because, typically, WooCommerce sends sales notifications after a successful payment, whether it’s live or a test, not an invoice.

    Just so you know, test mode offers the same functionality as live mode. This allows you to ensure everything, from order processing after payment to completion, is working perfectly.

    However, if you prefer not to receive sales notifications for test orders, feel free to disable all mail notifications. You can do this by navigating to WooCommerce > Settings > Emails.
