    Hello,

i have tried to set up your plugin with both the PHP function and the SMTP function but in both scenarios, the email is not sent.
With the PHP option, it says the email is sent, but it’s never received.
With the SMTP option, when i try to send a test email, it gets stuck on Checking your settings. I have tried the connectivity test as well and it gets stuck there as well. The server works as I can ping it and it replies quickly.

    Can you please help?

    Thanks

    Hi,

You would have to contact with your Server host and ask them to do the following settings:

    1. You would need to login into your WHM Panel and under this go to Tweak Settings. Under the Tweak Settings, turn off the option (Restrict outgoing SMTP to root, exim, and mailman (AKA SMTP Tweak)

    2. You would need to login into your WHM Panel and under Plugins section, click on the option “ConfigServer Security & Firewall”. After that under the ConfigServer Firewall tab, click on Firewall Configuration option. Under this turn off the options “SMTP_BLOCK” and “SMTP_ALLOWLOCAL”.

We have attached all the screenshots for your help. Please have a look at it.

I am having the same “email is sent, but it is never received” issue as reported initially. I host the site on a Raspberry Pi with the PHP Mail function installed. The site is used for testing web site updates before installing them on a production site which is hosted commercially.

When I attempt to use SMTP, I get the following error: ‘ smtp.gmail.com’ appears to be a DNS hostname but cannot match against hostname schema for TLD ‘com’, ‘ smtp.gmail.com’ does not appear to be a valid URI hostname, ‘ smtp.gmail.com’ does not appear to be a valid local network name
