    Hi there,

A few days ago, WP Mail SMTP was working perfect with my contact forms, however after updating the plugin today, the emails arent being sent after from submission, hence, I tried sending a test mail and still it doesn’t reach my mailbox for some reason.

I am using SendGrid, and everything has been established properly. Please find the error and DEBUG ASAP.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @shifu1010,

Thanks for reaching out & I apologize for the trouble!

Please kindly know that the WP Mail SMTP plugin just bridges a connection between your WordPress site and your mailer service (in your case, SendGrid). This connection ensures that you are sending emails using an authenticated email account or domain, thereby increasing the chances of your emails reaching your recipient’s inbox.

Once you configure a mailer correctly, all of your website emails sent with the WordPress default wp_mail() function will be routed through your WP Mail SMTP configured mailer.

To check your email deliverability, you can send a test email from your WordPress site (WP Mail SMTP -> Tools), to this online tool. After that, you can share the report link with SendGrid support so they should be able to check your issue.

Alternatively, I suggest you configure a different mailer on your site to confirm the issue.

    I hope this helps, Thanks!

I have configured the plugin properly and it was working a while back, however it does not do so anymore.

    Hi @shifu1010,

Thanks for the report link. According to the report, your domain/email server IP is blacklisted. Please reach out to your email provider with the report link, and they should be able to assist you further.

Also, I noticed a DMARC error on the report as well. Your email provider will help you resolve that issue too.

In the meantime, as I suggested earlier, you can configure a different mailer on your site.

    I hope this helps. Thanks!

    Hi Darshana,

I have asked the email service provider to look into the matter, however, when I now send a test mail to a new email, the email gets sent properly. The only issue is that it still doesn’t send emails when forms are submitted [contact form 7], despite the forms being successfully submitted

    Hi @shifu1010,

Thank you for getting in touch!

If your test emails are functioning now, you need to check your Contact Form 7 notification settings to troubleshoot the issue further.

To ensure that your WordPress notifications always send using your WP Mail SMTP authenticated email address, you can enable the “Force From Email” option under the WP Mail SMTP -> Settings page.

After that, please refer to this guide to set up your Contact Form 7 form notification settings correctly.

    I hope this helps. Thanks!
