test email error – cannot connect to the email server

I think that this error happens when your server is not connected to the Internet. Are you testing the plugin on a local site?

Web is on real domain. All other woo and wp emails are working. Do you have any other idea?

It looks like a problem with DNS lookup on your server. Do you use shared hosting or manage the server yourself?

When I try to send test email from setting page I get the error:

Error: cannot connect to the email server (error:14077410:SSL routines:SSL23_GET_SERVER_HELLO:sslv3 alert handshake failure).

This problem is likely due to problems in web server configuration. I’m not a sysadmin, but googling “14077410:SSL routines:SSL23_GET_SERVER_HELLO:sslv3 alert handshake failure” shows that it has something to do with outdated server software stack.

Do you manage your web server yourself? If not, then please report this problem to your hosting support.
