• I dont recommend this plugin,. It’s actually no real plugin but some feature that must be setup and configured outside your own website, including making an account,. etc….

Not what I was looking for, thus a plugin that I install AND configure on my own webspace.

Hi there, I’m really sad to hear that you had a bad experince using our plugin.

Poptin requires you to open a free account that’s connected seamlessly with your WordPress website, like many other SaaS products.

We put a lot of effort into the product and customer service. Are you open to talk with me about your review? You can reply here or ping me at [email protected] – I’ll do my best to convince you we deserve better than 1 star ??

    Hello Gal,

Thanks for your reply and sorry for the rude subject. I could have done that more subtle.

But issue is I just don’t like the idea of “a seamless connection with our WordPress website” and designing outside the own environment. IN particular not for a thing as a simple popup or dialogbox. Also a SaaS solution is not what I was looking for, I must have missed that in the description.

The plugin might be useful for others but not for us.

Thanks anyway for your time and Effort.

Please feel free to close and/or remove my review if it feels more comfortable.

@homerecords thanks for taking the time to write back ??

We offer much more than a simple popup/dialog box and we have integrations with many other platforms therefore we can’t really provide a built-in editing ability ??

You’re the only one that can remove/change a review, so I’d be really happy if you could give Poptin a try and rate it based on the product itself.

    How does that sound?

@homerecords so what do you say?

If you’re open to giving our product a try, that’d awesome. Otherwise, as you suggested, you can remove your review ??

    Hello Gal,

    • First: removing the review Is not among the options. I already made the Title more gentle but since it’s a fully commercial solution (SaaS based) from me it will never get more than 1 star. Sorry for that. it’s not mentioned in the description of the plugin
    • Two: Calling us or requesting a phone call, to “discuss” will not make anything better, it’s just the way plugins on WordPress work, some like it, some don’t.
    • All that above makes the current reviews a bit suspicious if you ask me.
    • Feel free to have it removed by a moderator or report my review as offensive or whatever.. I will do the same with this commercial plugin.

Also read the guidelines and in particular the part of:

“Do not harass or abuse people. Do not go to their websites, do not pick out their home addresses, phone numbers, Twitter ID, Skype ID, Facebook, any social media accounts or ways to contact them and use it to ask for support. Only use contact methods explicitly given.”

      Forum Guidelines

And again: contacting us straight by our websites is not being appreciated.

    @homerecords thanks for responding.

This is the first time I do this, and the only reason I’ve contacted you is because you said yourself that you’re open to removing your review because you haven’t read our listing carefully before installing the plugin.

Behind each product, there’s a team that works really hard, and whenever you leave a review just because you haven’t read the listing, it really hurts the product and the developers. As you said yourself, it’s stated in our listing several times.

Our product works well with WordPress websites and the only reason you’ve left us a 1-star review is because we’re a SaaS product ??

I did read the description afterwards very carefully (after my first review), several times and I just did it again but I still cannot distillate it is a SaaS solution.

Moderator note: No, we will not remove this review. Developer discomfort is not a valid reason for that. I think the discussion is valuable and interesting and deserves to remain a part of the record.
