Sorry mate, but your recent update is terrible and causes so many issues. I understand the theory behind introducing the validator, but for those of us who are actual web designers / developers this is a huge step backwards.

Upon updating, all of my forms (which have been working perfectly) display at least 3 errors each for reasons not explained by your changelog. I suspect it’s because I’ve used bootstrap HTML to lay out my forms?

Also, why the removal of HTML in the messages? I have plenty of forms which allow the user to download a file by clicking on the success message, these all worked perfectly before. I don’t see why the removal of <a> and <span> tags were necessary?

Perhaps release a ‘for dummies’ version with the validator and then a ‘normal’ version without all these changes?

That could not be the cause.

Well @buzztone, in that case it must because of the HTML tags used in the messages. But again, I’d like to ask the plugin author why remove tags from the messages? If the form fails to send, isn’t it nicer to tell the user ‘Oops, something went wrong and we couldn’t send your message. Try sending an email to [email protected] instead!’ and obviously the email would be in an <a> tag so it’s clickable.
