• Hey, WooCommerce and Automattic, all these 1-star reviews are real. Are you going to continue to ignore them, or improve this plugin?

I agree with the 1-star reviews. This is a terrible plugin.

It’s difficult to set up. It should not ask all those questions about the business. The answers to those questions should already be in the PayPal account. Asking these questions makes it impossible for a website developer to activate this plugin. Only the business and PayPal account owner can answer those questions. Why did you develop a plugin that is impossible for a website developer to enable? The plugin should only authenticate the PayPal account. That’s it. Not ask a bunch of additional questions. And don’t tell us you need to ask those questions. Figure out a way to not ask those business questions.

Payments often fail, and it is very difficult to figure out why. Please understand that this is a connection between WooCommerce and PayPal. Two giants in the ecommerce space. These payments are mission critical for store owners. They are relying on you and you are failing them.

    Hi @mikedev,

It’s not the plugin directly that is asking questions about the business. This vetting process is required by PayPal to use the advanced credit and debit card functionality which is enabled by default when you connect your account from a region that supports the feature.
The only way to skip this advanced onboarding, for now, is to temporarily change the WooCommerce store location to an unsupported country before connecting the PayPal account: https://paypal.inpsyde.com/docs/connect-a-paypal-account/
But we are revamping the onboarding to provide more flexibility for basic or advanced account setups to easier skip this process if the functionality is either not interesting for you or if you don’t have access to the information when setting it up for someone else.

Beyond that, there have been further compatibility improvements in the last couple of updates that should help resolve issues with failed payments.
But if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to let us know so we can help out. Thank you!

    Kind regards,
    Niklas
