    The images will remain optimised even if you delete the plugin, the only thing is if you uninstall the plugin, it’ll clean up all the stored data.

    And hence when you install the plugin back in future, it’ll show all the images as unoptimised, which shouldn’t be a problem though, or you can just keep it deactivated, if you’d really like to do so.
