Temporary authentication failure
-
Hi, I’m getting an intermittent authentication error when sending emails from my WordPress site using postSMTP. The failure appears random. Approximately 1 in 20 emails fails to send, but I do get an email notifying me of the error.
The notification email is:You getting this message because an error detected while delivered your email. For the domain: https://panza.org.nz The log to paste when you open a support issue: 4.7.0 Temporary authentication failure: Connection lost to authentication server
My hosting (and email) provider is Hostinger (Premium Shared Hosting)
In postSMTP I’ve tried using different authentication types. Both
Plain
andLogin
work initially but both fail intermittently.I suspect that this is an issue with Hostinger rather than postSMTP but I wonder if anyone has any experience with this issue and what I should be raising with Hostinger. Their help desk has not been helpful so far.
Thanks,
