Temporarily Closing Blog ~ Help??

You can simply create a Page with an “under construction” message on it. As an alternative, you could put an “under construction” message on an existing Page.

Then you go to Settings…. Reading…. Front Page displays….

Check “A Static Page”, and choose your “under construction” page as the Front Page. You could also choose that or something else for the Posts page. But mainly the Front Page is what you’ll care about, I think.

This doesn’t delete any Posts.

There are quite a few Under Construction plugins that you can install in the plugin repository. Then you can just disable the plugin when you’re done.
