Hello, after some searches, I tried to create a custom description.php file for single view. It should be moved into /mytheme/photography-portfolio/public/templates/single directory but it does not work. And it does not work either with /mytheme/photography-portfolio/templates/single
So what did I do wrong??

    Hi @li-an,
Try placing it in mytheme/photography-portfolio/single ??

    Cheers!

It works. I became mad trying to find the problem. Could you add this in official documentation?? I’ve read all I could find on Github and this feature is not very noob friendly as in Github it says

Customization is easy as Photography Portfolio plugin templates are based on get_template_part() function, similar to the way WooCommerce plugin has a custom template function

But for WooCommerce you need to have a templates directory. And it’s not explained again in index.php file in public directory.

In the same way, the Wiki tells about layout selection but without explaining how you can select different layouts. I’m not a developer but I’m used to change basic things in the themes I used. I think your documentation needs to be more precise about this kind of things.

If you complete your documentation, I suggest you add that the plugin uses phort_post for custom post type name. It is useful if someone needs to manage a menu in the portfolio specifically (I changed default theme menu to a portfolio menu as your plugin does not provide any).

And, at last, I must thank you. Your plugin is very handy and shows a very good looking portfolio page. I took a look at a lot of other plugins and they looked awful compare to yours.

I will make a review on it.
