Templates in child theme not working.

Dear people,

Maybe I am asking something ridiculous now, but I have browsed the internet for it already without results.

I’ve created a child theme for twenty sixteen, but when I try to use the imported templates in ‘Editor’ from the parent theme, it doesn’t affect my website. When I use the templates in the parents theme, maybe obviously, it does.
Since I’ve read you can just copy the parents templates, I wonder if you know am doing something wrong.
