Template tag for long URL

    Interesting proposal. Nobody’s ever asked for it before, but yes, that would be fairly easy to do.

    I’m curious about the use case; why do you want to sometimes post the full URL and othertimes a short URL? No obligation to answer; I’m just curious.

    I’m also using YOURLS and I use WP to Twitter also to generate a short url for my posts. maybe I’m wrong, but I thing the plugin only generates a short url if YOURLS is enabled as link shortener. So I want to generate a short url but post the normal “long” url in my tweets. Does this make sense?

    Yep – that makes perfect sense! You’re right – WP to Twitter does only generate a short URL if that option is enabled; otherwise, the short URL options are completely ignored.

    Thanks for sharing! I’ll plan on getting this in the next version; that’s a totally sensible use case.
