Template ScrollBars Acting Up?
-
Hello! I’m Illusion, and I just joined the forums because I’m getting this weird problem with the scrollbars acting up in the “boxes” containing the template code. I’ve also noticed that’s it’s happening right now on this TEXTAREA box while I type this question. Anyway, to clarify things, this is what’s happening. I’ll go to the template page to change something in my template. The textbox containing the template code looks fine; the scrollbar is acting as it is. I can scroll up and down. However! If I type in anything, or change anything by deleting or adding a word or what not, the scrollbar disappears! The textbox will sudenly elongate horizontally the entire width of the template page, and the scrollbar will consequentally disappear! This is what just happened with this posting textbox, except that the textbox didn’t elongate all the way, and only partially. I can still see part of the scrollbar.

I’ve searched around this forum, and so far, no one seems to have brought up such a complaint. I asked about it on another board, and apparently, this only happens in IE, which I’m currently using (IE6, to be exact). People who use Opera or Firebird, or basically Internet providers other than IE, say they do not have such a problem.

I was wondering how I could fix this. I can still scroll using the pointer on my mouse, but it’s definitely not has handy as a working scrollbar. And since the textbox elongates off the screen, sometimes I can’t see what I’m writing, which makes it more likely for me to mess up my code. I hope that someone will be able to either help me or fix this bug in the next version of WordPress to be released. I hope this is a valid question, too. Thank you!
