We updated Woocommerce to 6.2 and now the header and footer have disappeared from both the Shop and single product pages. Cart and Checkout are still fine. We have tried toggling the Classic Editor plugin on/off, but ultimately it appears to be a conflict with the theme. I swapped out the theme on the site (as suggested here) for the default Twenty Twenty Two theme and, while pretty much un-styled, I did NOT receive the error messages:

Template part has been deleted or is unavailable: header
Template part has been deleted or is unavailable: footer

So…I’m wondering what we can do short of choosing a different theme and being forced to do a complete site refresh.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello,

    Thanks for reaching out!

Indeed, that sounds like your theme is having a conflict with WooCommerce. I would recommend you reach out to the theme author to see if they are aware of this issue – they might even have already released a fix to it.

If the theme is no longer actively maintained, then you should definitely consider a newer theme.

In case you would like to keep the theme, and you’re unable to get support from the author – the only option would be for a developer to take a look at the theme files to try and fix it for you. If needed, you can hire someone here: https://woocommerce.com/customizations/

Please let us know if we can be of any further assistance.

We had the same issue in WooCommerce when going from WP 6.0. to 6.1.1. Our Theme is a custom theme and is very light. Something changed in WP 6.1.1 and now our WooCommerce page template changed from “default” to “template-canvas.php”. Anyone know why WP 6.1.1 is making our WooCommerce pages look for a new template name that we don’t have?

    Hi @timelymanner1

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – we’ll be here if and/or when you are ready to continue.

    Hi @icommllc

You may need to create your own topic, filling up the requested fields, so we can take a closer look at it!

Also, could you please share a copy of your site’s System Status on that new topic?

You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.?

Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

    All the best!

@icommllc Thank you! I find it ridiculous that hundreds – maybe even thousands – of site owners will have to replace their THEME because that’s supposedly where the conflict lies…

    Thanks for letting us know!

If you have any further questions, I recommend creating a new thread.
