Template override not working only for some templates

    I am using several template overrides. Only two of them are not working, although the override is shown in Woocommerce System Status. Only when I delete/rename the templates in the plugin, my overrides are working! So they are on the right place, they work, they are just not used by WC as long as the original template files exist.

    The templates are meta.php and price.php in
    /wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/templates/single-product,
    my overrides are located in
    /wp-content/themes/enfold-child/woocommerce/single-product.

    Again, I have many other overrides that work. WC 2.4.7.

    Any clou?

    OK, I (have to) see this as a bug in WC, and no support provided at all. I know that WC is for free, but I spent a lot of money for add-ons, wihtout them WC is pretty useless, as we all know.

    Pity, to say at least.

    However, I “solved” the issue by using hooks instead – although not everything can be solved with filters and hooks.

    I did an experiment as described in your top post and my modified overrides worked fine, so the malfunction you have seen may not be a WooCommerce bug. I have a different theme though. I am unable to test with Enfold because that’s a commercial theme and I don’t have access to it.

    Did you try with the default theme to check that it is not a theme issue. If it is, consider asking the vendor’s theme support techs. If its not a theme issue, consider temporarily deactivating other plugins to be able to rule out a plugin conflict.

    Somewhat academic though as you have now found a fix.
