My client wants to set this page up so that the event start and end date are on the same line separated by a hyphen (so May 4 – May 5). This appears to be the file I need to edit to make this change -> /the-events-calendar/src/views/modules/meta/details.php.

I have tried following the template override documentation and from what I’ve followed it looks like the override would need to be placed here -> /themes/avantage-child/tribe-events/src/views/modules/meta/details.php.

Is this correct? I have tried a variety of combinations and I just can’t get the override working. When I upload my changes to the original plugin file location they work correctly so I know I must have an issue somewhere with the override path I am using. Any help would be appreciated.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • I’m having a similar problem. I wanted to change the text for the link to the event web page from “Website” to something like “Downloads”, but I couldn’t get it to work.
If you look at this web page:
    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/k/customizing-template-files-2/
it would seem that your override file should be placed in:
    /themes/avantage-child/tribe/events/src/views/modules/meta/details.php
However, this is what I tried (with a different theme) and it didn’t work either.
