Template Not Working?

  • Copied the template from the plugin to my theme folder and it doesn’t seem to work. I’ve tried with the template in the theme based folder; in a posts-in-page subfolder in the theme folder; with the default template name and the custom template name (using the template=’template_name.php’ part of the shortcode). But the shortcode never uses anything except the default loop template in the plugin folder. I’ve checked and infinity-checked for typos in shortcode and naming, etc.

    Sorry about your difficulties. Happy to try to help solve.

    Questions:

    1. What version are you using?
    2. You can see changes if you were to tweak the posts_loop_template.php file that is in the plugin, correct?
    3. When you copy that posts_loop_template.php file to your theme’s root folder without changing the name, do you see edits made to the file in your theme?
    4. If you copy the posts_loop_template.php to a folder called posts-in-page with edits but without changing the name, do you see the edits?
