    I need to have the featured image on the left and excerpt on the right not below the image. I’m afraid I have not been able to figure that out.

    I had a quick look at your website and it looks like every title + excerpt are generated by an LCP shortcode, but the images are not. What you need is front end customization, which means adding custom CSS code in this case. Our plugin itself cannot achieve what you want, especially given the way you are using it.
