Template images duplicates in uploads folder

    Hi! I checked my uploads folder and some template pages get many duplicates. I don’t know if is intended. Its safe deleting the template images? Because in another month the images will generating again.

    I don’t have much disk space in this moment.

    Its from my “uploads” folder (/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/)

    I downloaded and deleted all images, but i don’t see any recreated images. And some images still in my folder because browser cache. In some times not showing the image in editor, but i reupload the image again manually.

    About the images, its necessary to generate aditional crops? Like 150×150 and medium/large size?

    Thanks for raising this.

    This sounds like a bug or configuration issue. We should not be generating multiple images.

    Is this constantly happening to you?

    If so, it should be safe to delete the images.

    About the images, its necessary to generate aditional crops? Like 150×150 and medium/large size?

    Unfortunately that’s not in our control. WordPress itself always generates these versions for every image being uploaded.

    Hi! After the deleting images, the duplicates not generated again since yesterday, but i will check the upload folder a few times in next days. I have an backup from images in case the cache not working in near future.
