Template for search results page

  • I have set up up my FAQ page using a page template to display a sidebar containing a search form and navigation links etc.
    I’ve used the same template for single-question.php so that a single question page will display the same sidebar.
    My question is how do I change the template for search results page as well as the other automatically generated pages (such as list of items under a taxonomy) to also use the same template?

    Any help appreciated.
