Template for Events

    Hi!

    Can I set up a template for Events that’s different from the templates of my Pages and Posts? I’d like to have a header image and possibly a sidebar or a widget at the bottom of the page with newsletter sign-in etc.

    Thanks for reaching out — that’s a great question, I can help with that ??

    You sure can! Take a look at page templates. Just make sure to set the template for global use:

    <?php /* Template Name: Example Template */ ?>

    Once set, it can be applied under Events → Settings → Display.

    Wow! This seems to require a lot of coding! Scary.

    Coding can actually be kept to a minimal if you are just changing or removing a few things. I suggest copying your existing page.php and using it as a guide.
