Template for Email to users on file upload

Hi there Anssi,

Considering buying your plugin.
We need to email a certain role every time a file is uploaded.

How does the email system work? Does it use PHP mail() Function?
How could we customise the emails that are sent out and the content that is included in them? Is there a template somewhere?
