Template Followup Question – 1.8.3

    I am having trouble with the template option… I developed the theme using the roots theme. First question is about how to specify the template to be used for the podcasts list and individual podcasts. The FAQ’s still reference select the template, yet I cannot seem to find the option in the settings pages. Is it still there or do I specify it another way? I am aware of the default approach that typically using the default post template unless there is a template for that post type (e.g., single-podcast.php and possibly content-podcast.php).

    I already created those but they don’t appear to be used. I can trace it but wanted to know how it is supposed to work in 1.8.3.

    I found the answer. My concern was the index listing. So that uses index.php template. Perhaps I could subtype it by post type (i.e., podcast). The point was to put a subscribe link. For now we are not doing much blogging but I need to subtype to not change all listings of posts.
