Template dropdown under Page Summary missing in 17.4.1?

Howdy,

I recently updated to 17.4.1 and realized that the Templates dropdown under Page Summary went away. When I deactivate the Gutenberg plug in it returns.

I was curious if this is a bug or something that is planned to be added to the WP Core.

I have tried this in the twenty twenty four theme and the theme I am working on with the same result.
