• We’ve created a dedicated UserVoice page for feature ideas, specifically to collect your suggestions and to better gauge community interest in them. Check it out at https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas.

This new approach is useful for a few of reasons:

    * Anyone can offer their feedback, regardless of their customer status.
    * Good ideas can be “voted up,” giving a comprehensive picture of what features are most in demand and allowing us to prioritize resources accordingly.
    * Beyond just soliciting ideas for enhancements to existing products, this gives users a place to suggest anything events-related…even if it’s an entirely new product suggestion. No idea is too big — or for that matter, too small.

We’re excited to hear your ideas. All we ask, as part of this, is that feature requests be kept to the UserVoice site and no longer be posted as new threads here on the forum. We promise we’ll listen and engage with your feedback, and that no requests will be falling on deaf ears. Now is your chance to help drive the product development cycle forward…so let the ideas flow!

  • Hello, really enjoy the Events Calendar Plugin, really helps elevates WordPress’ credibility in the eyes of some of the Drupal snd Joomla snobs. ??

Anywho, and if this feature is available in the Pro version forgive me as I did not see the topic in the WordPress Support forum.

    FEATURE REQUEST

1.) Show Day of Week, in Widget output.

2.) Live Preview of Widget output as an Option <tab> under plugin settings.

I’d simply like to be able to put a calendar on one page, and that same calendar displayed as an event list on another page.

I have events that are 3 and 4 days long with different hours on various days. Would love to make it 1 event, but have the flexibility to have each day listed with specific hours each day versus doing a work around and have them as different events.

Haven’t been using the plugin long, but really like it so far!

I’m new to this plugin but loving it too!!

My request is similar to one above, I am listing classes that are on the same day every week, for a few months. I’d like to be able to set one event with an option to repeat on same day, etc. Perhaps similar to choosing “all day event”. Thanks!!!

I would like repeating events for the same day. Think of a movie theater. The same movie shows at 1:00, 3:00, 5:00 and 7:00. Please let me know if you’re adding this kind of functionality.

I would love the ability to set a default start and end time. I list live music events and they normally start in the pm and end in am. Example:
    10pm – 2am

It just creates more work to have to change the time as well as AM/PM values.

Also, I would like to be able to view events by the Organizer, not just the Venue.

I would like to see more features in the widget options. More widget options would be great. Also shortcode to call the widget from anywhere would be fantastic.

If there was shortcode that allowed me to call all events for a particular category that would be awesome. Along with ability to select how many characters of the description, to show or not to show the map, etc, etc. More the better.

My client would like to see a single calendar in a specific category. I would love to be able to specify (shortcode?) for the calendar category that should be displayed on a page.

Providing the user with a dropdown or category picker is nice but not essential. Having the (shortcode) option to hide a category picker would be a bonus.

Thanks for a fine product. -ECP owner

It would be useful in the WP admin to be able to rename “Events” to be something else, like “Calendar.” The plugin’s uses are adaptable enough that calling it “Events” can be confusing for some websites.

I would like to see a “return” button on each “page/event” – e.g. from the home page widget – go to an event, event pops up, but no return button except the one in the browser and that’s always tricky – one wrong move and the customer’s gone ??
So a “return” button (one page back) looks very usefull to me. ??

I would like to be able to embed a piece of the calendar, like a mini preview or list in a shortcode so I can put it in a page and not in a widget area.

    Thank you,

    Clare
