Telephone number links using tel:

    I need to link to telephone numbers for users who visit my blog through their iPhone. Normally, this is done using something like:

    <a href="tel:1-800-555-5678">

    It used to work on my WordPress blogs, and users could click on the number from their iPhone to place calls to the number automatically. But now WordPress is stripping out the “tel:”

    Any hints on how to keep it in there?

    found a solution. had to install a plugin (unfiltered-mu) to allow for tags in my wordpress mu blog.

    now the tel: remains in the code, and phone calls can be placed by clicking on the link from an iphone.
